Family Tree Care & Consultation, LLC
1. Family Tree Care & Consultation, LLC can provide interactive and current education and in-service programs nationally to enhance both knowledge and skills of health care professionals as well as personal caregivers and families. These programs can be booked for a minimum of two hours and up to eight hours for an all-day training. Examples of these programs include, but are not limited to topics on Alzheimer's and dementia care, communication, activities, depression, behavior management, substance abuse, mental health and more. Please contact us to further discuss booking an educational seminar that you are looking to do for your staff, a marketing event or perhaps a family education program. Professional contact hours may be available for your participants.
2. Danielle and Robyn are Certified Alzheimer's Disease Dementia Care Trainers (CADDCT) and are approved to teach the live eight or twelve hour Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care Seminar that is required, for those that are eligible in pursuing and applying to become a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP). These seminars are provided throughout the year at various national locations and can also be brought directly to your agency. Danielle and Robyn are also approved to teach the Certified Dementia First Responder Seminar for those that are eligible in pursuing and applying to become a Certified First Responder- Dementia Trained (CFR-DT) through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP). 3. Family Tree Care & Consultation, LLC can provide consultation services for nursing homes, assisted livings, adult communities, hospitals and/or other health care entities. Our services include, but are not limited to policy and procedure development, chart reviews, improving dementia care services and survey preparedness. We also have experience in developing and implementing conferences as well and fundraising activities. Please contact us to further discuss these services.
4. We can also provide consultation and support for family members/care partners to offer training, resources and stress management techniques. This can be done through personal consultation on issues relating to the management of challenging behaviors, communication techniques, person-centered activity suggestions, or simply by providing you with available resources in the community to best meet your needs. Danielle M. Micale, MHA, LNHA, CTRS, CDP, CADDCT, CDCM, CFRDT, is the President of Family Tree Care & Consultation LLC. Danielle earned her MS degree in health care administration with a BA in recreational therapy & psychology. Danielle is a licensed nursing home administrator, a certified therapeutic recreation specialist, a certified dementia practitioner, a certified Alzheimer's disease dementia care trainer and a certified dementia case manager. She has worked in the areas of nursing home care, subacute rehabilitation, head trauma, Alzheimer's/dementia care, case management, assisted living, adult day care, training and education as well as behavioral health. Danielle is the past recipient of the distinguished Circle of Honor Advocacy Award given by the Alzheimer's Association, Greater NJ Chapter as well as a former Garden State Woman of the Year Award and Women in Business Award winner.
Robyn M. Barnes, CALA, CDP, CADDCT, CDCM, EMT, CFRDT, is a Corporate Consultant with Family Tree Care & Consultation, LLC. Robyn earned her BA degree in psychology from Rutgers University with a background in communication studies. She is a certified assisted living administrator as well as a certified dementia practitioner, a certified Alzheimer's disease dementia care trainer and a certified dementia case manager. Robyn has spent time working in the areas of nursing home care, assisted living, operations management and Alzheimer's/dementia care. Robyn is also an certified emergency medical technician (EMT) and a member of the volunteer rescue squad.
Danielle & Robyn feel that their most important job was as personal caregivers to their grandmother who lost a 14 year battle with Alzheimer's disease and they are both actively involved with volunteering and fundraising initiatives with the Alzheimer's Association. This company truly is a "family affair."
